Though Star Sales is now a leading national distributor of fasteners, construction supplies and power tools, we've come a long way from our humble beginnings. Founded by Harry Star in 1922, we began our business in downtown Boston as a neighborhood hardware store. From the very beginning, we've built a company culture focused on providing the very best possible quality and service to our customers, a culture that continues to be the driving power behind our current success.

When George Star, Harry's son, took over the business in 1978, he moved it from its downtown Boston location to the current corporate headquarters. As a 55,000 square foot facility located at Route 95 and I-93 in Woburn, Massachusetts, this easily accessible location has made it easy for us to provide that same neighborhood hardware store level of service across New England and the northeast at large.

The size of this facility made it much easier for us to drastically expand our inventory and variety of products so that we could give our clients the best selection of drywall products and power tools.

Following the company's relocation, George began forming relationships with fastener factories in eastern Asia, allowing the company to provide high quality drywall screws and other fasteners at a value price. These relationships have made Star Sales one of the top fastener suppliers on the east coast. Though George passed away in 1993, almost 90 years after the founding of the company, we continue to operate with the goal of making Star Sales into a national competitor in the industry.

Today, we have branches in Baltimore and sales locations in the Midwest and North Carolina. We've expanded on George Star's vision of service and excellence for the company. The average core employee has been in the company for almost 30 years, creating a tight-knit family of knowledgeable product and service experts. We treat our customers with that same level of care, as though we were recommending products to our own family members. If we wouldn't use it, we won't sell it to you.

Our employees are highly experienced, with a minimum of 20 years of knowledge to bring to bear to help with your project issues. A crew of at least three full-time employees have shared knowledge that allows them to repair virtually any major power tool brand available on the market.
